The Latest Developments.....

Grant Application:

At their Jan 8. 2009 Board meeting the Lake Chelan Recreation Development Foundation Board voted unanimously to fund the grant contract to CC Consulting for the express purpose of obtaining CTED Planning Grant funds which would be used to develop a Comprehensive Plan (including capital and maintenance and operation budgets) for the Lake Chelan Aquatics and Community Center Project. These funds will be forwarded to the City of Chelan, since the City will serve as the primary CTED Planning Grant applicant.  If awarded, the CTED Planning Only Grant would provide up to $24,000 in funds for further studies and planning efforts by the Lake Chelan Aquatics and Community Center Project.

The Lake Chelan Aquatics and Community Center Committee will be meeting on Tuesday, January 27th at 4:15 PM in the Montefort Room at Campbell's Resort.  If you are interested in becoming involved or learning more about this effort, please join us.
